We recently added some new products to help make your dental visits more comfortable!

At your next appointment, you will be offered a heated neck wrap, an eye pillow, and an ipod to listen to. A fluffy fleece blanket and a heated hand muff will also add to your experience.

Our warm aromatic neckwraps are filled with a combination of allspice, black pepper, cinnamon and cloves and are a soothing way to ease stiff neck and shoulder muscles. Another item that we offer is a lavender eye pillow. With its aromatic blend of herbs, basil, chamomile, lavender, marjoram, peppermint and rosemary, this eye pillow will ease a headache, help you fall asleep and in the dental office is perfect for relaxation and eye protection.

Our heated hand muffs are great for anyone with arthritis or just cold hands, providing deep penetrating relief from stiffness and inflammation. The heated hand muffs feature a combination of allspice, black pepper, clove, ginger, juniper berries and mustard seed, and compliment the aroma of the neck wrap and eye pillow. The fleece blankets that we offer are chenille, and super soft.

What's new in our office? If you have been in since January, you might have noticed that we have gone digital! We are pleased to offer our patients this advancement in technology.

The benefits to you include higher quality images, less radiation, shorter dental appointments, ease of transferring dental records, and, last, but not least, environmental friendliness!

Digital films let us see your teeth better by allowing us to change brightness, contrast, or color once on the screen, as needed. The equipment used for digital films exposes much less radiation (up to 90% less than regular xrays).

We do not need to wait for these digital films to develop, so this can lead to less time in the dental chair waiting for films to develop. Lastly, digital films are environmentally friendly, in that they do not require chemicals for development.

We are so pleased to include this advancement in dental technology into our office. We look forward to incorporating further advancements in dental technology in order to provide you with the quality of dental care that you deserve.

On February 16,2011, Dr. Blatchford and her husband welcomed a baby girl, Grace Evelyn Guthrie, 7 lbs, 10 ounces, and 21 inches! All are doing well, and Dr. B's Mom is having a great time watching baby Grace when she is at the office!

Greetings! We hope that your New Year is off to a great start! As you may be aware, Dr. Blatchford and her husband are expecting their first child, a baby girl, in early February! She will be on maternity leave for two months, and is excited to welcome a family dental friend, Dr. David Dunscombe, to the practice during the time that she will be home with her new baby - February and March, 2011. Please see our Dr. Biographies section to find out more about Dr. Dunscombe. We look forward to welcoming Dr. Dunscombe to our office during Dr. Blatchford's maternity leave, and know that you will be in good hands during this time.
